A lot has happened at Disney and throughout the world this past year. But have things gotten so bad that we now have to worry about Hidden Rats at Walt Disney World??? Well with the coming attraction of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, there are lots of Hidden Rats to look out for!!!
On our most recent trip to Walt Disney World in January/February 2021, we were fortunate enough to meet a Blue Tag Cast Member at the France Pavilion in EPCOT. The Blue Tag means they are a Walt Disney Legacy Award winner. This is a the most prestigious award a CM can receive. So on this crisp early February day, when I saw Michelle with her Blue Tag near the entrance to the new Ratatouille area, I just had to ask. When is the ride going to open? She must have heard this question hundreds of times a day. But still she politely answered sometime this year and she does not know of the exact date yet.
However, she did have some interesting information to pass along to me. CM Michelle started to point out some things to look for in this new area. Not your typical search for Hidden Mickey’s, but instead she showed me lots of Hidden Rats!!! This is such an interesting detail to include in this new area. In both the wrought iron fencing and on the benches throughout the area, there are Hidden Rats. Some are more artistic looking, while others are specifically of Remy himself.
The Imagineers at Disney did not disappoint in the planning of the Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure area. Now this makes waiting until October 1st, the official opening date just announced today, even tougher before getting to see and explore the whole area. And of course, I can’t wait to ride the ride!!!
So the next time you are in the France Pavilion, go hunting for some Hidden Rats!!! They don’t bite, and you might have fun showing other people around you these new hidden gems.

I’m excited for Ratatouille to open!!!
We were hoping it would be open BEFORE the actual 50th Anniversary date of Oct 1st, but yes, we are looking forward to it too. Believe it or not, Ratatouille is one of Marcus’ favorite Pixar movies!!!
